WELCOME

Welcome,

My name is Jim McClelland and I am a Rally Driver.  I am the Owner/Driver for WASHPA Racing based out of Washington, PA.

We're In It -2- WIN IT" !!

I spent 45 years of my life dreaming about living.  Now I'm Living My Dream!!!  WE all spend way too much time (of which we have a limited supply) doing what we think is the right thing, what others tell us is right.  We need to learn how to listen to the voice deep inside that tells us what is right for us.

Now, what I m saying is not to lay around and wait for something great to happen for you.  You have to work, pay those bills, contribute to society and give back to your community.  That's just general responsibility.  But when it comes to working, choose your job wisely.  Find a job in something that you love to do.  If you love racing, get a job at the local shop or parts store, or at the track in the Summer.  Even if it's sweeping the floors, you'll get to see things and meet people that you never thought possible.

What do you do when you're not competing (when you're injured or your ride is trashed for a week or two)?  Watch TV, mope around the house?  Well, then your heart isn't in the sport, is it?  Go and volunteer, work at the next race as a marshall, a corner worker, whatever!!!  When I'm not driving, I'm working time controls, right along with my kids and my wife.  Yes, my kids know how to work rally time controls better than most adults.  I'm very proud of their support.  By working and being active in my sport I've met such wonderful people as Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and Dave Mirra.  We've had some great conversations and some great laughs together!!!

Do you think that Travis cared when someone said you can't make a living riding a motorcycle? Or Dave Mirra listened to people that said bike riding is for kids?

So get out there and "Live Your Dream."
