Today I made Expert!

On Sunday, September 14, 2008 the Oregon State Championship Race was held in Grants Pass at River City BMX.  My first State Championship race.  At the awards ceremony following the race, I received a plate for being 8th in the State in 11 year olds!  That was also the first picture I had taken in our new team shirts.  How do you like the dragon?

Raced on 7/01/07 and was in an 11-40 Expert Moto.  I tried, but just couldn't keep up with the big boys.  My Dad has even raced against them and couldn't keep up.   I'll get another chance at them some day and maybe the next time one of them will get the DNQ! 

 I've only been racing for 2 months, turned Intermediate, and now I'm racing with the experts every week.  Not enough intermediates in my age group.  I'm doing ok but anyone in Klamath want to join BMX and race 10 Intermediate with me? Come on out to the track.

The Race For Life to benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma was held in Klamath Falls on Saturday, May 26.   With the help of my family, area business and friends, I was able to raise $2054 in cash donations.  In addition to the cash, a lot of businesses donated items that we used for a raffle to raise additional funds.  I wish I could list everyone here that donated, but the list would be way too big.  I'd just like to give everyone that donated a great big THANK YOU for your help.  You are all awesome!!
