I started out this year strong and was injured in July. I mounted a charge to overcome my injurys and win the championship,but I rode my best and came up tied with Scott Towne who took the win. I would like to congratulate Scott and say thanks for keeping it exciting right down to the last lap of the season.

I am 2 months out of shoulder surgery and racing again. I have backed off the last couple of races,because I am not sure if I can break my fall in a crash. Mid Nov. will be three months recovery and I am going to stop hesitating. I still go to physical therapy 3 times a week and I joined a gym to cut some pounds and get some stamina back. Thanks to all who have supported me through this.

MRI showed shoulder is torn to pieces. Go in tomorrow for 4 hour surgery. No guts no glory!!

Went to Eric Brown's (#269)  track for practice Sat. and a outlaw race Sun. Rode great Sat., was able to get a flow and the big jumps. Raced 30+ and 250C. Got the hole shot in both 1st motos , finished 4th. Second set got a 3rd in 30+ and crashed in 250C. Shoulder damage! Drove home 1 armed. Got xrays, onto ortho Doc's tomorrow to find out if its rotator cuff. Hope its just hyperextension.Thats racing. Will keep ya posted.  

Track was great saturday for practice.  1st moto went into 1st turn in second and washed out. 2nd moto finished 5th for 5th overall, not a great day of racing, felt like I could of raced better. Try harder next race.

What a great setting for a motocross track. The track was perfect for practice saturday. I rode all day and and had the track down pretty good. They watered the crap out of the track saturday night. Practice was a mess. I drew 19th moto out of 21. 1st moto I was trying to get my holeshot device hooked and the gate was dropped. I got 14th. The start was better the second moto but the track was a dust bowl. I finished 13th. No excuses,the competition was stiff. there were about 10 states represented in my moto. It was a fun weekend.

It was 96 degrees but the track was good. 1st moto got great start and stalled in 1st turn. Came back to finish 3rd. 2nd moto got even better start and lead for 2 laps, but got caught in some ruts and was passed by 2nd over a jump. Battling with 2nd 3rd got by us . Finished 3rd overall,but getting better each race. Best finish so far and first time leading a race this year.

I went down to Rolling Hills this weekend for a couple of practice races since D13 was open. what a nice track and people.  I raced 30+AM  and unlimited open, both about 20 riders, finished 10th&5th. Ok for first time on the track. I got good starts in all 4 motos, except the 1st 30+ moto I got my front wheel knocked out from under me in the first turn due to the leader and second wadding up, but got up quick and finished 11th.My son 'Jake" went with me and he placed 10th in 65cc 7-9.  I will definately go back to this track for the D13 race there August 11-12.
