Q&A - Favorites- Favorite Car: Just one? I can't choose just one. I like Mustangs, pretty much any muscle car, and Im a big fan of ratrods, and '40s-'50s era cars and trucks.
- Favorite Magazine: MXA, and Transworld. MXA alot more though. They're tests are spot on.
- Favorite Movie: I think anything with Will Ferrel in it. I also really dig horror movies.
- Favorite Trick: Whip.
- Favorite Event: Moto number 2.
- Favorite Rider: Jeremy McGrath, without a doubt. His riding style, and what he did to help the sport makes him my favorite rider.

Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
It all started when I was 8 years old, and my dad bought me a Suzuki DS80 for my birthday. Then when I graduated to a RM80. Once I started to figure out that bike, he asked me if I wanted to try some motocross.
List your competitive highlights:
I race nearly every weekend. I try to race twice a week. I made it to the Ponca City Nationals in 2006. Im very consistent, and I have a professional attitude always.
What are you planning for next season?
Work hard, play harder, and give B class hell!
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Making it to Ponca City.

Some Personal Information About Me:
My name is Cody Havel. I have been riding on a motorcycle since I was 1 year old. Thats what my dad tells me. Ive been piloting my own dirtbike since I was 8 years old. I started riding motocross in the summer of 1998. I started racing consistently in 2001, and been hitting it hard ever since. Working my way up from the 80's, then the 125's, and now the big bikes. I am a full time welder, and metal fabricator. Motocross, and motorcycles have always been a big part of my life. Its too much fun to stop, and I dont see the end coming anytime soon.
2005 and 2006 were break-through years for me. I gained alot of speed, and maturity on the motorcycle. In the beginning of 2007 I broke my leg, and that put me out of comission for the year. Over the winter I have been training hard, and 2008 was a new year, a fresh start. Im inspired and ready to do battle! Now its 2009, and Im having just alot of fun racing. And its showing. I cant be much happier right now. I still have room to improve though. Im working hard...
For the 2010 season, Im looking forward to the new challenges that B class will put before me.
What inspires you to compete?
Its hard work. Its alot of fun to win, and winning will drive anyone. But thats not it. Its the satisfaction of going out there, giving it your all, knowing you did the best you possibly could, and succededing at what you wanted to accomplish.
Describe your style...
My style is very fluid. Its not text book style, but I am a very methodical rider.
Why do you compete?
Because I like competition. It pushes me to be better. A better rider, and a better person. The thrill of winning a race is good, but what really gets me fired up is some awesome racing. Theres not to many things better then to have a good battle with someone for the whole moto.
Music?
Depends on the mood Im in. Either classic rock, or heavy metal works for me.
