What a year this has been!
I wanted to send out a note to you all and let you know 3 VERY SPECIAL events that took place this year. FIRST....
Coby was finally allowed to join a soccer league and was voted "PLAYER OF THE YEAR." He played his best and tried hard to do everything the coaches asked. He received a framed certificate and a medal. Talk about proud!
SECOND...
For the past 5 years Coby has helped Toys For Tots. This year he listed some of his toys on eBay, did chores for neighbors and saved all the lose change he could swipe off the counter and asked others to donate so he could buy bikes. Coby bought 21 bikes for Toys For Tots! It is his biggest year and he is already planning for next year! THEN he found out a friends bike was stolen so Coby gave him his bike. He said he has his racing bike and it isn't fair that his friends heart hurt. Proud Mommy Moment!!
THIRD....
Christmas was on a very tight budget. The Santa list was a new Jr. Cruiser racing bike and a trip to Disneyland, a soccer ball and LOTS of candy canes. Coby was a trooper and said I could have bought him socks and underwear and he would have been happy! Then 3 boxes came from Monster Energy Drink. They sponsor Coby in his BMX racing and have become great friends. They sent Coby a box full of fun MONSTER stuff including shirts, hats, stickers AND MORE!
The third box was a shocker for Coby! Because of his attitude and determination Coby was chosen as THE MONSTER ARMY 2006 ATHLETE OF THE YEAR!
Coby is so proud! He carries this trophy everywhere!
