Hi, My name is Chrystian McClanahan
I started my racing career when I was 5 years old in Go-Karting. My first year was not the best, but thats because I had just started. The next year was much better, my Dad learned more about the Karts and I practiced a lot. I started to win a lot of my races. In the middle of my second season the doctors found my second brain tumor, the first brain tumor I had was when I was 4 years old and the doctors did surgery and removed it. The doctors had to do brain surgery again and I missed a couple months of races. That year I still was second in points for the season. I also finished in 4th place at the Grand Nationals that year at Willow Springs. The next year started out with a lot wins and my worst finish was a third place for the entire season. Towards the end of the season I had some bad luck with my engines and karts and I missed winning the championship by 4 points!, and that year I finished the Grand Nationals in Santa Maria in 3rd place. When I turned 8 I started racing a new class of Kart, Jr 1 Comer, it had an 80cc motor and was capable of speeds over 60mph. My parents thought that I might need another sport to keep me more active during the week. I picked BMX racing as that sport. I picked that sport because I love riding bikes and dirtbikes and thought that I would be good at it. I started to race my bike more and more and became faster and faster. I soon found that I might be better at the BMX racing than at go-karting. I'm now in my 1st full year of BMX racing and I now no longer race Karts and I completely concentrate my time on my BMX racing. I just got picked up onto my new team, Bomb Squade Racing. I'm looking forward to a great year as an expert and I hope to be making my mains in Jan. at Reno. I really want to thank my old team "Covina Valley Cyclery" and Gene Partida for helping me during the 2007 season. Good luck Covina!! You'll hear us cheering for everyone on the team.
