Grands results are up. I'm still NAG 5 cruiser and NAG 7 class!!! I didn't think that I would still be in the top 10 not going to Tulsa. Congratulations to Joshua Banuelos who doubled, and all the 11x racers who made the main events. Awesome!!
I was really looking forward to racing in Tulsa but will not be going. I am currently sitting 11x NAG 2 in Cruiser and 11x NAG 3 in Class. I will not be riding with my 2008 sponsor, ASD, in 2009. I'll really miss hanging out with Michelle, Shelby, and Austin. That team will do great in 2009!
October 11th Canadian ABA Grands in Chilliwack. After the Firestorm Nationals I was sitting on 5 canadian Nats wins and a second place going into the Canadian Grands. I was line up CNat 3 class and CNat 1 cruiser after the Firestorm Nationals. Our family went to Quebec to visit my grandparents and I bagged a lippy roller in the rythms section in the LaTuque track (CCA). My left elbow hurt badly so my parents brought me to the Trois Rivieres Hospital for x-rays. The specialists said that my arm had been broken since before the Firestorm Nationals and that I needed a cast. Oh well. They removed the cast in Nanaimo after 6 weeks, 2 weeks before Chilliwack. I trained for about 5 days in Nanaimo but was just missing the holeshots againts my buddy Alex Winters in the Chilliwack finals. Steve Creighton was sitting close second to me in cruiser Nat points but usually moves up a class in cruiser in the final race. Well, this year there were just enough 16 year old cruisers to make a class and Steve got the first place. I needed to maintain 1st place to keep CNAT 1 cruiser so second in the main got got me CNAT 2 and CNAG 1. Same thing in class, but ended up with CNAT 5 and CNAG 2 cruiser. My parents were still proud of me because they didn't even think I could race with the elbow still so sore.
