Overview

How I got started

I started racing in 2000 after both of my brothers raced for a season. I started riding on a 1998 Honda XR 80, moved up to a 2001 Suzuki RM 80, then a 2003 Kawasaki KX 125, then a Suzuki RM125 and a Suzuki RMZ250 and  my current ride is a Honda CRF450 . I have raced in NEMA, NESC, NCSC and NEMX.

Goals for the Future

For the 2009 racing season I plan on winning as many races as I can while racing as an Amateur. I plan on practicing 2-3 times per week and on the weekends when I am not racing. I will be racing NESC, and NEMX for the 2009 season.  My rides for 2009 will be my

What inspires you to compete?

My brothers inspired me to compete. When I started racing my brothers were always faster, so that inspired me to ride faster than my brothers. Now I am faster than both of my brothers and I thank them for always helping me and helping me fix what I do wrong. One other thing inspired me to compete and that was my Uncle Joe Orlando, who was the 250 Amateur Champion for NESC in 1982.

Why do you like this sport?

I like motocross because I just love to do it. Motocross gets my adrenalin going and it gives me a thrill. When I`m riding I just feel free and like to go fast.

Some Personal Information About Me:

My name is Chris Orlando and I am 16 years old. I am over 6 feet tall. I like to ride my bicycle around and hang with my friends. I live in Massachusetts. I have been riding since I have been 8. I have two older brothers that have helped me get better over the years. I would do anything to go riding. Around where I live there are not many places to ride so my dad takes me to different tracks to practice.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I usually do train every week but now I have to change my schedule. Before school started I ran 2 miles and road my bike about 4 miles every other day and lift weights.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I want to race the Nationals and Supercross. Since I have started I always wanted to go pro. If I want to accomplish my goal I will have to make expert next year and train a lot more
