Jason Bennett has returned from Fiji courtesy of Adio and Quiksilver Travel. He went to the northern islands and a resort called Nukubati. After a much needed week out of the shaping room he comes back to us with stories of an island paradise. Despite not scoring epic waves, the trip was quite a success. The crew enjoyed tons of fishing, scuba diving and even foil boarding. The hospitality at the resort was above and beyond expectations and champagne had become the common drink of choice to unwind after a day of South Pacific grandeur. The crew all seemed to get along great and vowed to go on another trip together real soon. Stay tuned for surf photos as they come in.

Long time Chemistry supporter, friend, and team rider Adam Holloway has been real busy lately. Besides running Bare Wires, the best surf and skateshop in the northeast, and showing the kids how to really surf (as seen below), Adam got lucky and snuck one past the goalie. Adam and his wife Abbey are expecting a little one soon. After many sneaky failed attempts, Adam can sleep well at night knowing everything is working just fine. We would like to give him and Abbey a huge congratulations, and best wishes. Also, if you are ever in or around Long Branch, NJ be sure to check out his shop. Bring your skateboard as well as you surfboard considering its about a block from the beach and has a full skatepark directly behind it.

We at Chemistry are proud to announce the addition of a Japanese distributor of Chemistry surfboards and soft goods. After years of being out of the foreign market and staying selective of who handled our brand overseas, we finally found the right person to distribute Chemistry in the land of the rising sun. The boards have been creating quite a buzz since arriving and customers have been excited for upcoming shipments. We look forward to our relations with the Japanese next year and beyond.

Chemistry's very own Thomas "T-Grom" Clarke has just won his first NSSA event of the season. NSSA Southwest Conference Explorer Juniors event #4 went down at San Fernando Pl., Ocean Beach on Nov 4 & 5. The event had 2 to 3 foot surf in relatively good conditions. After finishing third in Nationals this past summer, so far this season has had its ups and downs, getting past the quarters and semis has been a chore. But, after picking up his new board two weeks ago and claiming it to be the best one yet, things have come together for him. Congratulations Tom, keep it going!

Chemistry team rider Chris Abad is currently in Barbados with Ben Bourgeois participating in the Reef Classic Barbados. Besides trying to get some good waves at Soupbowls, the boys have been spending some time on the south shore of the island "training". Known for his creepiness on surf trips, we know Chris is probably having a great time and entertaining the crew as usual.

Cheyne Magnusson's Maui quiver is featured in Transworld Surf Jan. 2007 issue (Vol 8, Number 12). Its fresh off the press and headed to a newsstand near you. The quiver shot has all of Cheyne's winter boards from small wave shortboards to his big wave guns. Its probably one of the most creative quiver shots to date, with him chillin' in the pool and his chick laid out in her thong next to his spear gun. Cheyne gives all the boards details, specs, etc... Be sure to check out his model coming early 2007.

Chemistry's Jason Bennett is headed to Fiji on Nov.11. He is going on a trip with fellow Adio team riders Mike Losness and Jesse Hines. Adio team manager Scott 'Desi' Desiderio is also going as well as photographer Anthony Ghiglia. Jason will be steady shaping until he leaves and will continue with his requested orders when he returns on Nov.19. There has been quite a few order requests for Jason lately so he will have his hands full when he returns from paradise. He has been getting all of his orders out on time and is anticipating his departure from the shaping room. "I'm way past due for some good waves in warm water," says Jason.
