So the end of my year has come and college has started back up again. After getting to a slow start on the year I surged on strong to the half way point of the year. I capped off my final two races with an amazing third place at Alum Creek where I teamed up with another rider in the series to try and knock off the Brother Duo who has been taking the 1st and 2nd places lately. On the second lap of the race the rider who I was working with ended up flatting and dropped off drastically which left me to bridge the gap by myself. Time was not on my side as I was tucked as small as I could be on the final sprint across a long dam and could not work with anyone like the brothers did with each other to carry speed.

At Lake Hope a light rain dusted the course the night before which was well but a nice high line by me in a warm up lap caused me a crash, the first of many that day as the rain clouds opened up and poured down on us at the start of the race and continued from there out. I led the first quarter of the race until the pack bridged back to me and my nightmare begun. I figured I could get back on the speed and ran into some of the women's expert group and it slowed me down and made me pick the wrong line and so the pack passed me and then many wrecks began as I tried picking up speed and it got me no where but lying on the ground and eating dirt. But a respective 6th place isn't bad since the race was shared with the West Virginia series who came up and raced with us as well.

Now I am back at college and it looks like the year of racing is done for me. I'd like to send a special thanks to my sponsors this year in Spy Optics for giving me some clear vision at each race as well as Maxxis tires for keeping me rubber side down for many of the races this year. Bob the Trek Rep, for hooking me up with some free gear in a tee and a hat.

Can't wait to get back on the bike soon, mainly for some winter training ; )

So the OMBC has reached it's half way point of the 2007 year and it hasn't been as kind as 2006 was to me. After trying to start out the season on little saddle time and little training which resulted in a horribel DNF at Mt.Wood(W.V.) and the severe cold didn't help when you have no leggings either. I retreated back to finish my spring semester and then traveled home to devote my self to my bike and the series like old times. Training turned up and so did the miles but the results didn't. The sport senior class is the strongest it's been in years and results are deserving. After a flat at East fork which cost me abuot 5min. and 2-3 spots, two wrecks on the last lap on my home course that cost me a podium, and a over heat spell at the last race I decided to go back and rebuild my base, put the ipod on and jsut ride. Hopefully it'll train off on a course I love this week at Alum Creek in Columbus,OH. Wish me good luck and keep two wheels on the ground.

I know it's late and all but the first race didn't fly over so well. I ended up taking a DNF. :( It was unfortunate in the fact that I thought I could tackle the course with little training on the bike and I paid for it. I'm not gonna blame it on the poor cold/wet/muddy conditions becasue i tregged out 10 of the 16 miles before bowing out. It will be the First and Last DNF that i have done so far in my career. I'll be wiser next time.

**** Next race is May the 6th at East For State Park in Bethel, Ohio. (Near Cincy)    Results/Pics will follow

Ok so the first race has already went by and  unfortunaly missed it due to a spring soccer game the day before plus too far to drive (4hrs.+ away from where i'm at) so I'm hitting up race #2 this sunday in W.V. at Mt.Wood outside of Parkersburg W.V. Weather sounds like shit but were gonna test out the new ride. Pics and results will be up afterwards.

So I recently had my spring break from March 9th to the 18th. Been trying to train hard for soccer and all since we've moved outside. The weather is always up and down in the spring here in Ohio anyways But i wanted to get out on my bike as much as I could. I did end up getting out 4 days and totaled up just under 60 miles of saddle time alternating back and forth between my training and racing bike. Also got to ride with some of the other teammates in some harsh weather, probably the worst ever. We started riding around 5:30 one night and didn't come in until dark before we went into the garage to warm up we looked at the thermometer and it said 35 degrees, nothing like riding in that kind of weather with your legs being exposed and rain half the time, but i would have changed it. Next up on my list is a trip to China with the soccer team. I have class in a few so i'll drop another training line soon.
