the Prerace on Sunday was great practice. Had a combined class of 19-27I and 28 & over. Raced some super fast guys and pulled out a 3rd place, beat one guy for the second time, I seam to be getting a little faster.
In the Finals I had a good class of 4 riders, one being the current RLC #1 plate. Uneventful moto 1 and 2, I transferred in round 2. In the main I was in lane 2 on the inside. Got an OK gate, still needs work. Was in second around first corner, got pushed hard outside by 3rd place but had to shut down a bit so didn't go off track. This shut down caused me to have to roll though next double instead of jump it as I had been doing since the day before. Stayed right with him through next corner, turned it up in rhythm section but my tired legs couldn't keep me smooth and I didn't gain any ground. Stayed 3rd across the finish line.
So that 3rd got me a state rank of 4th. Great start to my return to BMX after 12 year
