Garry Valentine Interview

So Where are you from?

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and I'm happy to be an Ohioan, ha ha. Man I love it here, so many parks nearby and allot of good street, and the people here are just amazing, a little strange but cool at the same time ha ha. I do have plans to move away from here someday, sad to say but sometimes you got to go somewhere rather then staying in one place.

How do you think the level of riding is today?

Wow that's a good one, Hmm... The level today is just Amazing, you can go to a local park today right now, like this vary moment and see the most ridiculous riding and it just keeps getting better and better, BMX for LIFE.

Who do you look up to as far as bmx goes?

I look up to everyone that rides a bike, mainly all the locals around here, they are just amazing riders, also I have to mention Joe Pirsel(toledo Joe) and Pat Schreader(afro Pat) those two are my local heroes ha ha, they are like my own personal trainers, and I am thankful to know them and become good friends with them.

What inspires you to compete?

Mainly my friends and family that support me 100%, and I don't see it as competing against other people but I do it to test myself I set a goal and I go for it.

Why do you like this sport?

Awe man there's allot of reasons, for starters, the people that you meet threw riding, its amazing how many people share the same interest as you.. I love to travel to ride my bike and again meet allot of new people everyday it seems.
