Tough season but I was able to win the APBA Region 8 #1 Plate in Pro/Am 1200 Open Class!! # 19 APBA National High Points! Thanks to all my Sponsors this year. I`ll be back again next year to see if I can do 3-in-a-row!!!

Well; We are about half-way through our season here on the East Coast and I find my self in 4th place in the APBA National Highpoints Standings. At 55 years old and on pretty much stock ski, I guesss I`m doing OK for an "OLD GUY".
This past weekend in the surf at Wildwood was really rough! Most of the weekend was spent on the course marshall boat and then jump on the line and race! Those kids on their Super Stock rides are way fast! In my first race on Saturday just about everyone fell off at least once. I was just hanging on for dear life. As much as I like the surf races it will feel good to get back to some flat water races.

Beasley`s Point, NJ Had another great time this weekend! Didn`t have to use my ski for course marshall but still stayed out on the course most of the day. Got a much better start in my races, but the ex-factory tour boat and the full-blown GPR SS were still too fast for my basically stock STXR! Can stay close for about a lap until they hit the front straight! Still had a blast racing with these excotic boats! Maybe one day I can find some more speed!

At Last!!! Had a great time even though my results weren`t all that great. Boat ran super all weekend but still no match for a Dustin Farthing`s ex tour boat and a full blown Ruis GPR! And not to mention the # 3 IN THE WORLD 800 Super Stock machine and rider! My lightly modded STXR and my 55 year old body was not much of a match for those young ones!
Only real downside was a broken course marshall boat and I was pressed into using my ride all weekend for course marshall duty. Come straight off the course, drop of the flags and line up! After the checkered flag, grab the flags a bottle of water and back on the course.
After winning the USWRA National Title in Pro 1200 Super Stock I guess everyone else figured out that if I could do it everyone else would get into the mix.
Hopefully I can get my act together and be ready in 2 weeks for the next round in NJ.
Stay Tuned!!

Looks like it`s gonna be a GREAT year here in Region 8. We have a new promoter that has stepped up to the plate to take over for another fantastic season.
I`d like to thank my sponsors in advance for their efforts to help me and our sport! M2R Helmets, Amsoil, Skat-Trac, UMI Racing, Hydro Turf, Utopia Optics, Scott`s performance PowerSports, Aquatech Marine & Riva Racing.
