sprained my wrist on the 15th, should be easing into riding shortly.

Racing/riding/and training when possible pulled my bars off the forks while I was riding sunday lol

Saturday Practice:

I was feeling good, enjoying the track.  I found a few places to manual and jump during the race.  I was going to practice the jumping in the third straight.  I shut it down in the first straight then turned it on in the second. I was coming into the second berm fast, ready to jump in the third stright. I caught up the the person in front of me but he was midway up, so I was going to take the inside.  He dove down about the time that I got sideways for the berm.  I couldn't do anything so we crashed, reopening the one-week scabs all the way up my right arm.  Other than that I was ok.

Saturday Round 1: The reason why I did poorly.

I wasn't going my hardest because I wanted to save it for my next qual. and main.  I was in third behind what is now an expert and my friend that I can usually beat.  I wasn't planning on manualling the last obstacle in the second straight, but I did for speed.  I was manualling it perfectly, standing forward to bring it down, but I looped out and will have a video of it very soon.  I landed on my spine and immediately thought that I was paralyzed.  I was unconcious but still felt a tingling all over.  I was run over and I have tire tracks on my side.  NO HARD FEELINGS TO THE GUY THAT RAN ME OVER.  I semi-conciously crawled off the track.  I remember seeing the white line but not remembering what it was there for.  Somebody said: "A little further, a little further!" and I guess I kept crawling off the track before the next moto hit me.  I don't remember what I did right after that, but I eventually got up and rode around the rest of the track.  I immediately sat down and my coach got the EMT's for me.  I ot up and walked to their shed thing. They cleaned the scrapes on my back and I got ready for my next qualifier.

Saturday Round 2: I made it...

I got second with bad whiplash and taking it very slowly.

Saturday MAIN

I talked to my mom before racing. She didn't want me to race, neither did my coach.  He made me promise not to try hard, so I'm pretty sure that I just coasted most of the track.

Sunday Round One:

My mom and my coach didn't want me to race even so I sat down out of the gate and didn't try at all.

Sunday Round Two: I actually raced hard-only time I did somewhat well all weekend.

I raced hard and got first.  My coach said that I was 4 or 5 bike lengths in front of everybody else, and I heard from others in my moto that I killed them.

Sunday MAIN

I was going to try hard but I hit the gate AND I pulled out of my clip. I saw this as an omen and decided that I shouldn't try due to my injuries; so I stayed behind everyone.

Local race at Pikes Peak BMX.  It was really windy, but other than that the weather was nice.  So after I took first in the first qualifying heat, the main was interesting.  I was first in the first straight, we were single-file formation, and on the last obstacle before the first berm, I was manualing and compensating for the wind.  Well, the wind decided to go away, forcing me to the ground.  After I go down, three more plow me over and fall.  One rider dodged us and continued.  I immediately got up and started riding.  I was about a bike's length away from he guy in first by the time I finished. The track operator came over to us and said that the guy who got first didn't qualify, so he shouldn't have been racing, giving me first place.  So then I stayed at the track for about an hour, then when I got home, I looked at my back because it was still hurting quite a bit.  I saw a tire track running from the bottom left of my back to the top right.

It. Was. Awesome.

On Tuesday I went racing as usual, and this time it was a little different.  I got first in the points race, but the guy I was really competing with landed on top of me on the step up that I fell on a long time ago.  This was at Horsemen's, and right after that step up, there's a right hand berm.  When he landed on me, he fell and I almost did.  My right foot unclipped luckily, because I was able to save it in the berm by kicking off of it with my foot.  I then put my heel on the pedal because only one side of that pedal clips in and I didn't want to fall behind anyone or give the guy a chance to catch me.  I was able to maintain my large lead for the rest of the race, and I didn't really get hurt from the whole thing.  So that's my story and I hope you enjoyed it.
