This is my first season racing so I started out in the Women's B class. After one race, they moved me to the A class and I finished out the season there. I placed fourth overall, but I did manage to win the last two races. I hope that will continue into the 08 season. I see that you race the BITD series. I was thinking about trying one of those races. How do you like them? |

I love Best In The Desert. Some of my best friends live in Nevada, where all the BITD races are held. I make a lot of road trips, since I live in So Cal, but that is part of the fun!
BITD officials are friendly and there is an emphasis on safety and looking out for other racers on the track. The events are always fun... They lay out some of the most challenging and fun open-desert race tracks and each race has some unique quality to it. The tracks are usually really well marked, when compared to SCORE racing.
My team is doing the Henderson 400 this weekend! It's the last race of the season. Next year, we will be making an effort to compete in every BITD race that is open to ATVs, including the longest point-to-point race in the United States, the famous "Vegas to Reno"! |
