Today I will be participating in the Road to Recovery National Ride Day. I will be spending the day riding my motocross bike and raising money for the Foundation.

The Road to Recovery Foundation was started in 2000 as a means of providing support to a racer in the event of a career ending injury.

This was probably the coolest race I have ever been to. I made friends with kids from England, Australia, Quebec and Costa Rica. I jumped in the pool at our hotel with Team Ireland after Sunday's race! Not to mention the great performance by Team USA and the crowd participation.

I also need to thank alot of people that helped me on Friday when the fuel line on my KX85 busted. I didn't get to practice, but so many people pitched in to make it possible for me to race the Supercross event. First, the Thor guys and Cycra guy in the vendor area tried to help my Mom find a new fuel line, then a Marine who was parking cars tried to tape the line together but it wouldn't hold. A family in camping gave us some lines to try and one fit, some guys who own Dirt Soldiers Track in PA put the new line on and a pro mechanic from Oregon cleaned the dirt out of the carb, jet and air box. Also, the racers from MA who gave us some carb. cleaner and I have to mention the 250 rider in camping that offered to take his fuel line off his bike for me to use and switch it back and forth so I could race, WOW! Just goes to show that Motocross is the best sport ever because the racers are fierce competitors but at the same time, generous and supportive of fellow racers.

I just received a letter that my artwork from Art Class has been selected to represent my school, Reed Middle School at the Summer Art Show at the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio. I will be attending a reception at this event on Sunday, July 22nd to receive a certificate for this achievement.

I've been having a good season and remain in the top 5 for District 12, AMA. I didn't end up doing the Kames Series because of the distance to some of the races and the weather. I am in 1st place in CRA Flat Track Series.

Recently, when I was getting my hair cut my hair stylist told me that she was raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This money will be used to send kids who have MDA to camp. I really wanted to help, so I decorated her shop's windows for the fund raiser and my friends helped me to design and decorate bags to be used to sell products. This Wednesday, I am going to "jail" with her because she does not have a cell phone and I do. She will have to call friends and other people for money to raise bail for us to get out of jail. Wish me luck!

I crashed at the first District 12 AMA race at Scenic Highlands in the first moto. I jarred my shift lever and was unable to get the bike out of second gear. I did finish the first moto but was unable to race the second moto with the lever stuck.

My mechanic, Aaron Florek took my bike apart and fixed it all up. The second District 12 race was cancelled because of poor weather conditions so I went up to NEMX (indoor track) and practiced all day. My bike is running well again and I felt good.

The 3rd District 12 race was cancelled because of all the rain we got. I went to a CRA race instead at Pymatuning Holeshot Raceway. It was real muddy, but it felt good to race outside again. I finished both motos and overall in 1st place.

I had a great time riding and racing in North Carolina over the weekend at Daniel's Ridge. What an awesome track! The people there were so friendly and a big thank you to Victor the owner of Daniel's Ridge who made us feel right at home. It sure was nice to get away from the ice and snow and do some riding. My bike is running great and I finished 7th in the 85 cc Jr. Mini class. New pics posted.

I made the honor roll at school for the second nine weeks.

Although I am not racing this month due to the cold and icy conditions in Ohio, I am working on my bike. Special thanks to all my sponsors for making the addition of new parts and gear possible. I am also getting new gear together so I can practice as soon as we have a good day. I have done some woods riding with friends in the neighborhood this winter---Shane try to stop getting stuck in the mud!

Huge thanks to my new mechanic, Aaron Florek, who is certified by major manufacturers, has experience working at Cobra and has traveled nationally with some racers. I am fortunate to have him working with me while he is in Ohio.

Today I volunteered to go to the elementary school to help the kindergartners write letters to Santa. I got 2 boys, one wants a dirt bike and a 4 wheeler and the other one wants a jet ski. I told them that Santa will try his best but there is no guarantee!

I am in the 6th grade at Reed Middle School. For the first 9 weeks of school I earned a 3.5 GPA which put me on the Honor Roll!

My riding number in the 65 cc class was 4, then 4x in the 85cc class in 2006. Since RC is retiring, it's time to retire my old riding number as well.

In 2007, my new number will be 421 which is also my birthday.
