Originally from Portland Maine, Amber Stackhouse now lives in a city by the same name on the other side of the map, Portland Oregon. Amber has a thirst for knowledge, a zest for life and she’s constantly on the go. This head-to-toe Roxy girl is currently mastering the art of balancing her college studies, being a pro snowboarder and running a production company. She is a leader who always achieves her goals.

Amber first started riding back when things were a little simpler at her home in Maine in 1995. Deciding to pursue her love of snowboarding as a career, she moved to Mammoth, CA, in 2000, where she paid rent by working at local shops and restaurants. Working nights allowed her to spend her days on the mountains where she developed her unique style and beautiful corked backside 3 tail-grabs. She won American Snowboard Tour’s Slopestyle event the following season and the rest is history.

But contests were not enough for Amber. Watching her guy friends develop snowbaord movies planted a seed in Amber to do the same thing for the overlooked girls in snowboarding. As the girls snowboard market continues to explode, Amber wants to show the world what’s going on behind the scenes. She has started a production company named, Misschief Films. Her debut production, As If!, is set to premiere Fall 2005.

Amber has been featured in every major sowbaording publication and has graced the slopes at the best snowboarding events. She constantly gives back to her snow community by helping to teach girls how to ride at Roxy snow camps. Her plate is full and yet Amber is always down to kick back for some good conversation with friends.
