Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
The adrenaline rush after you do a great run especially on some crazy course.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Well I would LOVE to be a profesianl athlete especially in a sport like kayaking, skiing or biking but if I don't get to that level I would love to film and get into the action when ever I can.
Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
I love to travel and my family has been all around the world. One of my favorite trips was when we went to Costa Rica (for the sixth time) and got to paddle some really cool rivers there.
Why do you like this sport?
Definitely for the adrenaline rush and pushing your limits to see how far you can go with still being safe but learning lots of new things.
How's Life Treating You?
It's pretty good I just wish that I could be doing the things I love and have a real passion for more often. Dealing with school and that is pretty hard sometimes but it works out.
Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
My brother definitely helped me get into it and just everyone in our community and anyone that I have met on the White Salmon River.
List your competitive highlights:
I haven't competed a lot but definitely competing in Wausau and when I made it to the Junior Olympics.
What are you planning for next season?
I'm excited for the gorge games then going to Wausau for a few races then the Junior Olympics!
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
I think the Junior Olympics for me but I'm more into running big water and rivers so it's just the competitive part that can be fun especially when you are racing against amazing kids like Dane Jackson and Jason Craig.
