UPDATE 2::: Had surgery today (22Sept08). All went well, just as they thought. there was nothing left of my ACL and my miniscus was torn and wasnt even attached to the bone. Not allowed todo anything, or put any weight on my leg for week. At least 6 more weeks minimium weight with crutches. Then try to go without anything for a while. Its very painful now, but hopefully gets better. Hope to see everyone when I get to race again in a year.                                                                                                                                                                     UPDATE::  Went for my consult with the Ortho Doc today, surgery in a few weeks, and yeap, my left knee is really that bad! Will be 9 months before I can run or possible even ride a dirt bike again.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Its official, Im out for the rest of the 2008 season. After all the abuse over the years I have finally destryed my knees. Went to the doctor to have them look at the pain in my knees, and to find out why my knees give out all the time without warning. After X-rays and MRI's, the vertic is that my ACL is torn in half and my miniscus is torn to the bone. The ACL repair will take about 6 months to healcorrectly, and before I can ride again; however, the miniscus tear will take a while longer to heal (if they can fix it). Oh yeah, this is great news considering that I just rebuilt 3 of my dirt bikes and just got them broke in.

Cal City GP #2

The California City (Alta Vista Events) Desert Gran Prix results are posted. I ended up taking 1st in my class!! After a long night of problems, with all of our bikes, and a morning that I dont want to relive. I got to the race just in time to line up for the race, didnt even get to run the parade lap. Went out blind, laid the bike down a few times, including twice right before the finish line, and took a bad digger that cost me a few minutes because rocks got wedged in my brake lever. Had some little kid in front of me dusting me the whole first lap. After it was all said and done ended up starting the race 5th, and finishing 1st! Took 23rd over all. Our team as a whole took 3rd overall. And to top it all off, ended up coming home, washing off the bikes, then fell asleep and took a short 17 hour nap.

Thanks to everyone that helped me and supported me, you are greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Gaerne Boots, they saved my foot again when I got crashed and got sucked under the bike, and they still are the most comfortable thing I wear during the week. Niks Industries hooked me up with some great AP Racing brake pads, that I now know work awsomely, and they sell Muc-Off products.  Alba And LA Sleeve got the parts I needed quick so that I could still do this race.  SMX Optics/Steel MX put some great goggles on my face, you need to try the bluechrome lenses.

Overall I would have to say this was one of the funner and more enjoyable races I done. Except for the first lap (of course), and that one little kid on a honda, this was the most curtious group of riders Ive ever raced with. Thanks everyone for making it a good time for all.

Muc-Off!!!!!

For those of you like me who hate having to wash and scrub your bike all the time, I finally found something that works. Muc-Off! I have pressure washed my bike several times and still have that chain lube, exhaust oil, who knows where it comes from oil, and the regular dust, dirt and mud stuck on my bike. I was talking with the guys at Niks Industries and they told me to try Muc-Off, yeah another company pushing a new product. Well, I must say it works better than a pressure washer. I wet down my bike, sprayed some on the swing arm, engine, tires,...and waited about 5 minutes (actually, I got sidetracked), and just sprayed it off with a garden hose. It looks AWSOME!! (Its says to let set for 2 minutes, let it set for 5 to 10 minutes for best results.) It took all that old grunge off too. I now have, and keep, a new swing arm look. The only thing it didnt take off was the scratches. Niks Industries (www.niksindustries.com) is the only place that Ive found that sells this stuff. Ive already bought quite a few bottles of the regular stuff, and some degreaser, foam fresh, bike spray, chain cleaner, and probably more that I cant remember. The foam fresh is a little strong at first, but calms done to a decent smell. I love everything that Ive tried that is made by Muc-Off!!! If you want something that cleans your bike better than anything out there, and doesnt require any scrubbing, Its worth the money just to try it!

How did you get started?

I bought a motocross bike and played around for a while, then found a decent quad. My buddy took me to a few of his races and I was hooked. Since then I built my quad up, bought 2 more and race whenever I can.

List your competitive highlights

Nothing major, yet. Just race at the base track against a few buddies on quads and bikes.

What are you planning for next season?

I plan on racing all the events in the Yamaha/ITP Quadcross series for southern California. I will also race any of the local races that come up. I plan on placing in the top 3 in any event I try. I might adjust one of my quads and try the local desert GP series.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Not hurting myself or anyone else. I try to push the envelope on alot the tracks. I have been sideways in the air do to bad faces, but somehow manage to maintain control through the landingsand scare alot of on lookers.
