Well I miss Rookie of the year by on 9 points. That suck to come so close and not to get it, but the driver who won is pretty cool. She has a lot of racing knowledge on her team, like her dad who is a 4 time track champ. She has like 4 or 5 pit crew members not including her dad, all with a vast amount of racing knowledge. I do have to say, I am real proud of my team. ALL the knowledge we have is from running our first season this year. We knew pretty much zero when we ALL started in April of this year. My step dad is the best he does all of this for me. He is a Rookie Crew Chief and has also learned quickly, I would not have done half as well if he didn't learn as quickly as he did. He does the basic set up and sometimes puts a little twist on it. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Our motto on our team is, "We each do the best we can do at our jobs. It's not going to be perfect. “ So in other words, drive the crap out of your car no matter the set up, just figure it out and be clean doing it. I guess down the road that will make me a better driver. I have met so many cool people. It really been cool when a driver comes up to you, shaking your hand and telling you how clean of a driver you are and that you can run with them any time. That's happened actually quite a few times this year. Anyways our team is looking forward to competing in some open races. We will be up at Placerville, Ca on Sat.

The whole experience was sick at Irwindale. Everyone we met was helpful and safety was their first concern. This was nice for me because I've never drive on asphalt before. They were concerned because not only have I never been on asphalt, but I currently race sprint cars which is a much more aggressive style of racing. Asphalt is more about patience & smoothness. You can’t drive an Asphalt car with a aggressive driving style of a sprint car driver. Come to find out the last 3 sprint car driver ended up in the wall at Irwindale. Their other concern was I just turned 16 and didn’t even have my licenses yet. I also had only driven a stick once in my life for about 30 min.
Had no problems with the stick shift on the first car they put me in, but in the second car they put me I had trouble pushing in the clutch in all the way. I started it in 3rd gear. They were nice about it though. LOL Make a long story short. My whole crew was GREAT!!!! I ended up with them taking off the revliminator (spelling??) , which I guess they don’t do often. There were two other racers their that were actually running for point at Irwindale one of them was top 3 with the other being top 10 in points. I GOT FAST TIME FOR THE DAY!!!!! This was dream come true for me to drive a Asphalt car!!! I would love to do it again! I can’t thank the Crew at Irwindale enough they were very encouraging. It was a day I will never forget.

I Qualified in the middle of the pack and won my first heat race in my Sprint Car. What a great feeling that was. Before the A-main we had an autograph signing in the grandstands. That was so much fun. I started 12th in the A-Main and ended the night with a 6th place finish. I also got to see one of my best friends (Alissa Geving) Win her first A-Main. It was sick! She started on the pole, raced hard to stay in the front and won.

This was proving to be a good day with the 410's. I qualified 15th which isn't great, but it put me on the pole for my heat. On the start I pulled away leaving a bit of dirt between myself and Botsford driving the other black 29 car. Then as rapping aroud turn 3 the yellow comes out. We had a re-start because one of the drivers thought it would be great to fly into the wall knocking downing about 30' (He was ok). On the re-start the black 29 knew what I was going to do remembering my last start. Lession leared for me! He basiclly started the race moving a head of me. Then ex-World of Outlaw driver Tim Keading driving the 10 car zipped by me on lap 2. I was able to hold on to third place in my heat.
Started the A-main 8th row. Holding my position and not moving any where. On lap 8-10 (not sure). I decided to try a new line which proved to be a mistake that ended my night into the wall and upside down. Quickly jumping out of my car lighting fast because fuel was leaking out. My Crew Cheif was laughing because he said he never seen me move so fast!
Even though I went over. I feel that running with more experience drivers makes me a better driver. I can't wait to run next weekend at Petaluma Speedway.

I had a lot of fun this weekend. Qualified 6th! My heat race was tuff, I was loose and the car wanting to turn around on me, I ended up taking 5th in my heat. I Started the A-main ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK in the 18th position and I do have to tell you that when your that far back the line up looks endless. Ended up working my way up to a 8th place finish! I’ll take it, 8th place 8th race, not bad for a Rookie! My next race is in Antioch, Ca. I’ll be running my 360 with the 410 Golden State Challenge series for some good old fashion “seat time”. My goal is to transfer out of my Heat race directly into the A-main with a top 10 finish! MAY THE RACING GODS BE WITH ME!!!!! LOL-LOL
