Hey Kevin!
Thanks for the comment brother! Good luck on your first adventure race, here are some simple tips that I would say to follow.
1.) Stay Hydrated, Try to drink 6-8 ounces of cool water every hour. 2.) Bring some energy gel with you, while you are competing you still need to be putting away the calories to keep you from bonking, electrolytes from sports drinks are amazing too. 3.) Make sure you avoid cramps by getting a solid stretch before you go out, nothing to fancy just get those muscles loose. A good 10 minute slow jog before hand is always handy. 4.) Do not over exert! If you feel yourself pushing to hard, slow it down and stay safe. Finishing is better than passing out... ya know?
And finally..... Drink that Fluid when the race is over so it doesnt end up being your last one.
Well there you go man! Good luck and rep the Fluid name. For more tips you can check out youtube.com, just type in "Marathon Training Tips" look for the picture of our founder Dave in a black shirt and white glasses.
Cheers!!
