Saturday & Sunday

The racing over the weekend was really exciting!  Saturday evening was the Pro Men's & Women's Dual Slalom finals.  The course was on the short side, but very fast!  It was a treat for the fans as the racing was extremely close.  Each round was typically decided by less than 1 second!  In the Pro Women's race it was KHS factory rider Melissa Buhl taking the win.  In the Pro Men's race it was an all YETI final with Jared Graves and Rich Houseman battling it out.  In the end Graves took the win by .1 seconds over Houseman.

Sunday was Downhill day.  Once again Melissa Buhl took the win making it 2 for 2 on the weekend for her.  In the Men's race it was american Duncan Riffle taking the win over a very international field.  2nd was Justin Leov, and 3rd was Andrew Neethling.

Friday

Yesterday was downhill practice, Super D racing, and Dual Slalom qualifiers.  The crowds started to fill in a bit more, making the event feel a little more "normal".  It's very warm here, so the courses are really dry and dusty.  Downhill racers are having a hard time seeing the trail in practice it's so dusty!  The Slalom Course is pretty short, only 18 seconds.  But, it's really fun to ride and should make for some close racing this evening.

Amiel Cavalier won the pro men's Super D event.  Jared Graves was the fastest qualifier in Dual Slalom.

Tonight is Dual Slalom finals.  Stay tuned for that report!
