Overview

How I got started

I got started riding when I was 4 years old. A family friend brought over a little Honda 50cc and my older brother showed my where the throttle was and how to shift but not the brake. i Got on with-in 10 minutes of having it, took off and after 100 yards slammed right into a tree. That sucked! I`ve been riding ever since and started racing in 2004 because my dad had told me that D16 was starting a womens class. I tried it for fun and hated my 1st race it was tuff, i got 2nd place and kept racing. Overall in 2004 i took 3rd place and for 2005 i took 1st place overall. I only tok 2nd place at 3 out of 15 races.

Goals for the Future

Next Season. . .(dun, dun, dun)next season i`m hoping to pick up some sponsors and even though i`m a new and young rider branch into some other racing types. I`m exctied to try flatt-tracking, some more motocross(i`ve only done a few), possiably an enduro and i`m really hoping to get out on a new 125, its more power than i`m used too , thats not the problem its the height thing, i`m 5`2`` and those 125s are just about the same size as me. Riding is easy for motocross but when it comes to harescrambles, its alot easier to throw around an 85cc that weighs about 100 lbs. over a 150 lb. 125cc. Biggest Goal is to take another 1st place title in more than one circuit. I would also like to imporve my lap time and improve on my jump landings. WOO HOO !! Good Luck Dominique!

What inspires you to compete?

What inspires me to compete, its more about who inspires me to compete. My brother Dusty, he races also, for about 3 years longer than me but everytime he comes off that track you can tell hes rode hard and done his best. When hes riding you can see he loves it and hes passionate about riding. When i ride i strive to reach that, to have people say that when i`m riding they can tell i`m giving it my all and that i really look and play the part of a racer. To live up to what he has, the respect he gets at the tracks, from people he dosn`t even known, they see him ride and its like automatic respesct. To have that, that what inspires me to compete.

Why do you like this sport?

Because its so much fun. You can go really fast and fly! who wouldn`t love to fly right, it also has its bad side but thats appealing too! It`s dangerous and yet has an amazing reward, when you get a huge adreline rush on the start line waiting for that gate to drop, or the gun to go off. Winning a race is fun too, plus there are alot of hot guys who race!(can`t help it , I am only a girl)

Some Personal Information About Me:

Lets see, i`m about 5`2`` and 125lbs. i have hazel eyes and i don`t known my hair color. (just kidding it`s blonde) I`m a funny person, love being the one to make everyone laugh, I`m very competitive on the track but walk off the track and i`m the most easy going person you`ll ever meet. I consider myself kind and caring. Respectful to my elders and peers. I do have a temper, i admit that, it comes from my dad and its not pretty. but it takes a whole lot to make me mad, doesn`t happen often. Overall i`m a pretty sweet chick, not too bad looking if i do say so myself.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

ride as much as possible, race almost every weekend....work from time to time and ya know..hang out with friends

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

So. . . .I LOVE TO TRAVEL!! My best road trip story would ahve to be when my dad , my brother dusty and i were on our way home from a race in upper michigan. We were around Eagle River on some back woods road, tall creepy trees and it was kind of rainy out. We were pulling the trailer and i was sleeping in the bed of the truck, dad put the topper on and we had an air mattress in there so who ever wasn`t driving could sleep. I had just been driving for about6 hours after my race and i was tired so we stopped and i went to sleep. i had been sleeping for about 2 hours when my brother opens the topper hatch and grabs my foot and starts pulling my out of the back of the truck. . .i was so confused and he just kept tellling me "this is your stop, we`re leaving you here," on some creepy road in the rain and then hes like i`m just kidding you can go back to sleep and i was yelling at him "Your a F***er, Both of you are!" (Him and my dad) i went back to sleep and it was a fine ride homw the rest of the way, but that was the funniest thing, even though i was pissed off aout it, when i think of it now it was funny.

Competitive Highlights

Competitive highlights for my short lived racing career would be, this year in Christmas, Michagan i took then wholeshot was going great, i downshifted too soon for the corner and ended up flipping the bike over top of myself. . .sounds worse than it was. . . i was in 1st and everyone passed me(6 girls) i was now in last place. Some would be bummed out but, me i was looking forward to it, i got too push these girls hard they were pumped i was in last i was determined to take 1st and i passed everyone except a local motocrosser, she was flying. She came up t me after the race and said she had never been pushed that hard through the woods or on the track. .. i`m pretty sure that if i would of been on a larger bike (faster bike) that i would have taken 1st. I took 2nd but it felt like an awesome 2nd place.
