Well, we raced at Jeeps on May 18th to qualify for nationals. Jace was smoking fast but due to my ignorace on dads part (Wrist pin clips came off), his motor locked up on the last lap of the 2nd moto and he finished 4th overall. Still good enough to qualify! Jeffrey was smoking also but got 2nd to a little girl on a 125 TRX. Man that little bike was fast too! Trey finished 1st and will be riding the TRX 90 at nationals instead of his raptor 250. Marks string of bad luck continued as well! His bike was cutting out and acted like it was starving for fuel. We got his bike home and changed out his fuel filter. The problem still continued and after searching for a couple of weeks trying to find the problem we found that his battery connectors were loose and dirty! Now we got it fixed, we are hoping to turn the season around for all of the riders. Overall Mark is in 6th and should improve that by the end of the season. Trey, Jeffrey, and Jace are all in 1st or tied for 1st and we hope will remain there minus any miscues by dad on their bikes!

Well the season got off to a rough start. Jeffrey's 90 motor lost the top end and he finished 3rd overall finishing 6th and 1st in his motos at Bar2Bar. The top end is done and ready to race this weekend. I went ahead and changed out Jace's top end on his 50 at the same time but we lost his tranny a week later. He has his new tranny in and I went ahead and changed out his clutch, tortion spring and variator weights and man that little bike rips now!
Mark crashed in his 2nd moto at Bar2Bar after finishing 2nd in the first moto of the B class. He was a little banged up but ok. He went to race at the first SX event at Jeeps and crashed again. He ended up spending the night in the hospital! He was knocked out for about 20 or 30 seconds and had a huge knot on the back of his neck. The xrays were negative but the CT scan showed a little bleeding on his brain but we were told that is common with concussions. The doctor told him to take it easy for a few weeks but he insists he is riding this weekend at the AMA national qualifier.
I will give you an update once we are back at home!

Our season started on 3/9/2008 at Cooperland. Due to the weather we only took our B rider. Mark did very well placing 2nd. However, later in the week he broke his frame and we had to order a new one. We were able to weld his up so that he could compete on 4/6/2008 but a wreck in the second moto placed him 6th overall after finishing 2nd in the first moto.
Jeffrey, our mini rider, was leading his first heat race when his motor locked up. We pulled out the backup bike in the 2nd moto and he won it, for a 3rd overall finish.
Jace (PeeWee) and Trey (SuperMini) won their divisions. Trey is riding his new 2008 raptor 250 and Jace was blazing on his Kasea beating all the riders in Mini and PeeWee during both practices. I will be sad to see him move off of the 50 next year but he will be very competitive in the 90 CVT class.

The older boys have been competeing in the Jeeps Cycle Club super cross series and have had some good and bad luck. In the first race, Mark was in the lead until someone jumped their quad on top of him and he crashed out. However, we went back on 7/17 and he took home the first place trophy in ATV C class.
We will be back in Marion on 7/22 for the motorcross series and all the boys will be racing!
